The last man Standing Sat. Aug. 21, 2010 got rained out.  I know some of you are upset, because we were there for about 2 hours and didn't have any cars running.  But please let me give you the update as to why.  Friday night we realized the timing equipment had been hit by lightening, we called in out guy who does this work, he worked very hard Sat. morning to get everything up and running for us.  He had left to go back home, the equipment went hay wire after he left.  I called him back, and he came back and did get it fixed again.  I had him stay at the track where if we had any problems he would be able to handle it.  Well then we had lightening for aprox. 2 hrs before the rain came in.  I am sorry but when it is lightening we CAN NOT hook up the equipment, because of it taking out the equipment again.  This may sound lame to some people, but when you have about  $80,000 in this equipment you don't want it to be hit by lightening.  It cost us Sat aprox between $8,000 - $10,000 to have it fixed and working again to where we could race Sat.  We even paid the guy who works on this to stay in case we had any more problems.  THEN THE RAIN CAME, if it had been a light rain, we would have dried the track and run, but that wasn't the case.  We will honor ALL rain checks at the next grudge race, or any other race that the fans would like to come too.   If you have any questions please email me at: fjallan@islc.net.
Thank you to all who came out Sat and we look forward to seeing everyone soon.  As soon as I get a rain out date I will post it here and will have it on the answering machine.
